Horseshoe Biscuits with Nuts Recipe, gluten-free (Orasnice)

Today I offer horseshoe pecan cookies. A traditional Croatian recipe that will delight your loved ones this festive period. These are nut meringue cookies, flour-free and gluten-free. They are very easy and quick to make and only require 3 ingredients to prepare, not including salt. Crunchy, with a pronounced flavor of roasted nuts, these cookies are perfect to accompany a hot drink. If you like nuts, I highly recommend it.

Preparation

    In a bowl, go up beat the egg banks with the salt. Add the icing sugar little by little, continuing to mix between each addition to combine well. You should obtain a firm, soft and shiny meringue that forms a bird’s beak.

    Add the 350 g of finely ground walnuts and mix with a spatula until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.

    Preheat the oven to 130°C, static heat.

    Prepare 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Also prepare a deep plate with 200 g of coarsely chopped walnuts.

    Take a not too full tablespoon of dough and place it over the nuts. Cover all sides with walnuts and roll with your hands until you have a sausage measuring approximately 8 cm. Then give it the shape of a horseshoe.

    Place on the baking sheet, spacing the cookies a little. Repeat until the dough runs out.

    Place in the oven and bake for 35 minutes or until the cookies are lightly browned.
